The Ring Cycle at The O’Neill Theater Center

More good news!  PL115 has been invited to the O’Neill Theater Center in January!

Our company, along with director Dave Dalton and members of Quinnopolis, NY, will be in residence at the O’Neill to begin development of The Ring Cycle, pt 1.  The residency will culminate in a public showing — more details about that when they become available.

Many thanks to Jeff Janisheski and the O’Neill for the invitation!

SINK at chashama in March!

SINKWe’re pleased to report that our new project, SINK has been selected for inclusion in chashama’s Residency Program!

Quoting from chashama’s press release:

chashama is pleased to announce the three winners of its competitive theater company residency award: Panoply Performance Laboratory, Sponsored by Nobody, and Performance Lab 115. Each company will work at our 217 East 42nd Street theater for five weeks, developing and presenting new work. Residents receive administrative, marketing, and technical support, as well as a $1,500 production grant. Each group will present performances open to the public, dates and further information to be released at a later date.

The residency affords us a rare opportunity to develop a new project in the space in which it will be performed — something we’ve never been able to do before!  We’re grateful to chashama for giving us this amazing opportunity, and for continually investing in our company’s artistic growth.

Stay tuned for more details about the further development of SINK in our residency in Feb-Mar 2010!

More Reviews for Chalk Circle

“The production has such zing and visual cohesion…we never forget Reagan’s or the ensemble’s thrilling potential: Not even two hours of Brecht could alienate us from them.”

- Helen Shaw, Time Out New York

“Tickets to Performance Lab 115’s production of Caucasian Chalk Circle are only $15, but the show would be worth seeing at five times that price. The cast is stellar, the scenery and costumes strikingly inventive and the performance has a level of energy to which all plays should aspire.”

- Willow Belden, Queens Chronicle

“PL115 does an admirable job of keeping this lumbering fairy tale moving forward with excellent staging that gives room to the tender moments and lungs to the spectacle of cruelty that coexist in Brecht’s alternate reality.”

- Vladic Ravich, Queens Tribune

Caucasian Chalk Circle is in its final week  and tickets are selling fast, so be sure to get your tickets online.

We’re very proud of this bold new piece of theatre and we’d hate for you to miss your chance to see it!

- Alexis Soloski, The Village Voice

“Provocative … there’s not a dull spot in the two-hour evening”

- Deirdre Donovan, CurtainUp

Caucasian Chalk Circle plays until July 11th, Wed-Sat @ 8PM at The Chocolate Factory.
